Rira: Poetry of peace is not restricted to any kind or class of audience. Women, men, the oppressed, victims of war and those who place humans and humanity in the sublime are all the addressees of peace poetry. It is for the day when children of war need healing in their solitude. I chose poetry of peace for the festival with this speculation because I believe poetry is quicker in impartation and cheaper compared to cinema. I have also compared poetry to bullets and moved on this assumption that a bullet could take the life of one person but a good poem could give life and be a lifetime companion to people. For instance this verse by the Persian poet, Saadi: "Of One Essence is the Human Race,Thusly has Creation put the Base./One Limb impacted is sufficient,/For all Others to feel the Mace./The Unconcern'd with Others' /Plight,/Are but Brutes with Human Face"
